Windsor-Essex Regional Chamber to Advocate for Region in Front of House of Commons’ International Trade Committee TPP Public Consultation

The Windsor-Essex Regional Chamber of Commerce (WERCC) is appearing before the House of Commons’ International Trade Committee in Windsor at the Best Western PLUS Waterfront Hotel, located at 277 Riverside Dr. W., on Thursday, May 12 from 10:15 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. in view of its Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPP) Public Consultation.

The WERCC has been aggressive in asking the government to defer a parliamentary debate on TPP until after the U.S. federal election to ensure maximum flexibility—an issue that received province-wide Chamber support recently at the Ontario Chamber of Commerce AGM. The WERCC was also one of the first Chambers to express concern over the TPP and to ask for the full documents.
