Windsor-Essex Regional Chamber of Commerce and Ontario Chamber Network Attend Second Annual Queen’s Park Advocacy Day

On Monday, March 27, 2017, the Windsor-Essex Regional Chamber of Commerce (WERCC) President & CEO Matt Marchand, along with other Chambers across Ontario, will be attending the Ontario Chamber Network’s second annual Advocacy Day at Queen’s Park in Toronto.

The full day event will bring together leaders from chambers of commerce and boards of trade from across Ontario. Together, the group will engage with politicians, key political staff, and senior government officials to address policy priorities for Ontario’s business community.

Marchand is participating in a series of meetings throughout the entire day with politicians and government officials advocating on several Windsor-Essex region issues. These meetings include senior government officials, leaders of the opposition and deputy ministers of industry.

Some of these key issues include Electricity Rates and the Energy System and Cap and Trade. Additionally, Marchand will be participating in a breakout policy meeting on The Changing Landscape of International Trade with Cameron Sinclair, Assistant Deputy Minister, International Trade Program Division, Ministry of International Trade.
