CHAMBER'S
MUNICIPAL ELECTION STRATEGY ON TRACK |

The
Windsor-Essex Regional Chamber of Commerce will be
releasing the official results of its election
survey and elaborate on its municipal
election strategy on September 8, 2010.
Also,
the Chamber has scheduled a Windsor
Mayoral Debate as part of its municipal election
strategy. The Mayoral Debate is scheduled for
Tuesday, October 5th, 2010 starting at
11:30 a.m. the Ciociaro Club of Windsor.
More details to follow.
Chamber
members will be able to access the survey results
and detailed election information on the Chamber's
election website on September 8, 2010.

ONTARIO
TO CREATE NEW INFRASTRUCTURE PLAN

On
August 5th, 2010 the new Chair of the Chamber’s
Environment and Energy Committee Mark E. Emmanuel traveled
to London, Ontario to meet the Minister of Energy
and Infrastructure, the Honourable Brad Duguid.
A
mix of private and public sector participants
shared their infrastructure priorities in a
consultation session intended to provide input in
what the Government of Ontario announced will
become a new 10 year infrastructure plan for the
Province.
In
its presentation, the Chamber called for more
energy related infrastructure to be included in
the new plan with a goal to secure affordable and
reliable supply of energy for business. The energy
prices in the Province have been increasing in
recent years.
